SudburyROCKS!!! 2022 is officially in the books, and we wanted to send out a HUGE thank you to express our gratitude. Despite the challenges we faced again this year, you, your adoring fans that cheered you on, and your generous friends and family who donated to your fundraising campaign all came out and supported in a big way! You are the backbone of this event, and we sincerely appreciate your participation, engagement, commitment, and support.

If you haven't already done so (and if you wish to), please submit your race data (time and distance) to kcacciotti@hsnsudbury.ca. The results will be posted on the SudburyROCKS!!! event website, as well the SudburyROCKS running club website so you can see how you stack up! If you wish to submit a photo of yoursefl that we can use in other promotional material, that would be greatly appreciated.

And of course, this event would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. Thank you very much for the businesses and families that continue to support this legacy event, your generosity is deeply appreciated.

My annual Rocks!!! Half is in the books for 2022. Last year I ran the half for Steve and the 10k for Lise. This year I ran two half’s, solo for the first one and a trail half with my running partner Bean for the second. I could hear Steve’s words as I finished my solo race. He would have been pleased. Steve was always brutally honest with me post races, and I valued this immensely. I channeled Lise’s incredible gift for empathy in Bean’s race, making it a fun one for her. Lots of stops to jump in the lakes and treats along the way.
Thinking of Vince Perdue, as always. Braving each day, lacing up your shoes and spending time on the trails. May those trails continue to heal.

Sara and Bean

MAY 28 - 29, 2022
Ottawa Spartan Super 10K & Sprint 5K Weekend

Calabogie, Ontario, CA

Dennis Legault (centre)

Marc Cayen (left)

19 members of Apex Warrior went down to Calabogie peaks, juts outside of Ottawa for a weekend of obstacle racing. It was my first Spartan race. Most of us did the 10km on Saturday and the 5km on Sunday.
I wasn’t prepared for the massive hill but with my ninja and Spartan training, I was still able to secure 3rd place in my division for both races.
It was a very memorable weekend filled with love, laughter and amazing athletes whom I’m lucky enough to call my friends
