Race, Run or Walk for Diabetes is Northern Ontario’s
largest distance event.
The event features a full slate of 5 events for walkers and
runners of all abilities.
The SUDBURYROCKS!!!
Race, Run or Walk for Diabetes is part of the Sudbury
Fitness Challenge, a series of annual fitness events
that span over 20 years in our community.
ANYONE CAN DO IT
Whether you spend all of your free time at the gym or wouldn’t
recognize a gym if you were standing in one, you can be part
of the SUDBURYROCKS!!! Race, Run
or Walk for Diabetes.
All you have to do is show up with the will and the determination
to make a difference.
WALK OR RUN UP TO 21.1 KM
If your goal is to be the first one across the finish line then
go for it! But if all you want to do is participate in an event
that could change the lives of Canadians living with diabetes,
take your time. Walk or run – whatever works for you.
The key is to have fun and make it across the finish line. Set
your own pace and achieve your own goals.

Marathon – presented
by Carriere Industrial Supply:
A brand new "Boston Qualifier", the marathon course
provides a scenic tour of the City of Greater Sudbury. The
route is fast and reasonably flat with a few elevation changes
in the early kilometres. |
Mansour Group SUN RUN Half Marathon
Run on the new marathon route, this event will be fast and
scenic. This is a walker friendly course with a 4.5 hour
cut-off time. |

SUN RUN 10K
Continental Insulation SUN RUN /
SUN WALK 5K
- Also with new courses this year, the 5K and 10K events
are run on the shores of Ramsey and Nepawhin Lakes and offer
some beautiful views of Science North. |
FREE ENTRY!!
KidsFit KIDS FIT’N FUN 1K
Bring out your kids (from stroller
age to 11 years old) to this fun and free family event
on an accessible course. It runs a half an hour before
the 5K and 10K start so that parents can accompany their
kids and get back in time for the main event.
All kids get race bibs and finisher
medals. The fastest 10 kids will be timed and results
posted, but otherwise this a participation event.
Registration for this event is
race-day only. Be on-site at least 15 minutes before race
start for a warm up led by KidsFit. Kids - after the 1
km event, please join KidsFit in their booth for a demonstration
of their way cool machines!
