THE DETERMINATION AWARD
Presented by Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation Representative
Sylvia Scarsella along with Catharine Farrow of FNX Mining.
The Determination Award recognizes the participant in
each Run site across Canada who raises the most funds
by the start of the Run.
Each of the 1st place top fundraisers per Run site across
Canada are entered into a draw for a chance to win a spa
getaway package courtesy of New Balance and Air Canada.

Team Awards
At every Run site, the team from each category that generates
the most in donations will receive one of the following
awards:
CIBC Corporate
Spirit Award
Sponsored by CIBC, the CIBC Corporate Spirit Award
is given to the top fundraising company at each
Run site. Each winning team will be awarded with
a plaque on Run day.

Friends
and Family Team Challenge Award
The Friends and Family Team Challenge Award is
given to the top fundraising team at each Run
site.

Winner: Team MACH 9, $43,000
– MACH stands for My Amazing Cancer Heroes.
(Note: MACH 9 has raised more than $3250,000 over
the past 10 years)

School
Team Challenge Award
The School Team Challenge Award is given to the
top fundraising school team at each Run site.
Each winning team will be awarded with a plaque
on Run day. In Sudbury, winning school teams also
receive pizza from Topper’s Pizza.

The School Team award is
presented to the local elementary or secondary
school depositing the most donations by October
2nd.
The 1st place team award
goes to the team that raised $13,077.37 –
Team Churchill Chargers.
Note: The Churchill Chargers
set a goal of $10,000. If they exceeded their
goal, their Principal David Farrow agreed to eat
DEEP FRIED WORMS. This event will take place at
Churchill Public School on Monday, October 5 at
9 a.m.
The 2nd place team award
goes to team raising $1,282 – Team Ecole
Secondaire MacDonald Cartier.
The 3rd place team award
goes to the team that raised $1,270 – Team
HEARTs for Home.

New
Balance Women's Team Challenge Award
Sponsored by New Balance Canada, the New Balance
Women’s Team Challenge award is a fundraising
program for women’s teams who register and
fundraise for Run. The award is given to the top
fundraising women’s team at each Run site.
Winners of the New Balance Women’s Team
Challenge award from each site will receive prizing
based on their individual and team fundraising
levels.

FNX Mining Spirit Award
goes to the team that has let their spirit shine
through. The Run Committee has chosen two teams:
The Boo-bees and OSS Sudbury.

About team awards
To qualify for all team awards, teams must consist of
10 or more members and donations must be received online
by midnight (PST) on October 2, 2009, or offline and forms
bank stamped by CIBC by October 2 and received at the
Run Site prior to the start of the Run.
