Congratulations Walkers and Runners

Our Fitfriends 5Km Walking and 5Km Running Event was ran on Sunday, May 8, 2005 in excellent conditions with warm temperatures and sunny conditions blessing all those who came out to give their all , not only for themselves but also for Genevra House.

We had 170 people toe the line for our third annual event. And this was the fastest ever with Track North Star, Lisa Labrecque, winning the outing and P.B ing as well with a 16:54 total time. Todd Withers led the male charge with a very fast 17:44. Click Here for All the Results

A Couple of Notes about the Run

Our "Strive to Come Alive" is a fundraising event and proceeds will benefit Genevra House YWCA in Sudbury. Genevra House focuses on the needs of women and children who are victims of domestic violence. This year we were able to raise $2500 for the Organization. Thank you everyone for making that happen.

FiTFRiENDS will be moving our event to June in 2006 in order to prevent any conflicts with the growing Sun Run so stay tuned for our 2006 logo and event date.
